The Goodies 50th Anniversary at Slapstick 2020

It’s almost half a century since the first episode of The Goodies hit our TV screens and made household names of it’s stars; Tim Brooke-Taylor, Bill Oddie and Graeme Garden. Join Bristol’s Slapstick Festival for an evening of mirth and mayhem as all three members of the legendary comedy team discuss the extraordinary legacy of their award-winning TV series (1970-82).

Radio 4’s Infinite Monkey Cage co-host Robin Ince hosts this onstage ‘In conversation’ event complete with a full screening of a classic episode of the show hand picked as the public’s favourite via an online poll. Followed by a Q&A with the boys. With a new audio series on Audible in the pipeline too, here’s to the next 50 years!

Having merged The Saucy Gibbon with the Goodies At No Fixed Abode. 

I have made some changes to how people join the Fan club.

To join, you can now sign up via the Saucy Gibbon Forum. And at the end of the registration bit, you should get a Welcome PM with a link to your free membership card. (to keep forever :D)

If you have problems getting your membership card, you can head to the membership thread on the front page (after logging in). 

For existing Saucy Gibbon members (on this forum)… You can also head to the membership thread after logging in to your account.

SG members on the old Saucy Gibbon Forum… You will need to create a new account on this forum to access your membership card. As i am unable to transfer accounts to this forum.

Here are details of the recording dates in the Winter 2019 series of “I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue”:
 
The recordings will take place as follows:
 
1) Monday 7th October at the Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury. This will be a double recording of the show (i.e. 2 programmes will be recorded) for broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
 
Tickets will be priced at £9 (excluding booking fee) and are obtainable from 10am on Monday 16th September. Tickets are available to purchase in person via the theatre’s Box Office, by telephone on 01743 281 281, or online via the theatre’s website.
 
The recording starts at 7.30pm and will be finished around 10.30pm. Tickets will be limited to a strict maximum of 4 per applicant, by whatever booking system. Demand for tickets is very great, so you are advised to purchase early to avoid disappointment; you should also allow for queue waiting times for the Box Office, either by phone or in person, to be longer than usual.
 
2) Tuesday 5th November at New Theatre Royal, Portmsouth. This will be a double recording of the show (i.e. 2 programmes will be recorded) for broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
 
Tickets will be priced at £6.00 plus a booking fee and are obtainable from 10am on Monday 30th September for mailing list subscribers and friends of the theatre, using the code CLUE. Tickets will go on general sale on 10am on Wednesday 2nd October.  Tickets are available to purchase in person via the theatre’s Box Office, by telephone on 023 9264 9000, or online via the theatre’s website.
 
The recording starts at 7.30pm and will be finished around 10.30pm. Tickets will be limited to a strict maximum of 4 per applicant, by whatever booking system. Demand for tickets is very great, so you are advised to purchase early to avoid disappointment; you should also allow for queue waiting times for the Box Office, either by phone or in person, to be longer than usual.
 
3) Sunday 17th November at Richmond Theatre, Richmond. This will be a double recording of the show (i.e. 2 programmes will be recorded) for broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
 
Tickets will be priced at £7.50 plus a booking fee and are obtainable from 10am on Friday 27th September. Tickets are available to purchase in person via the theatre’s Box Office, by telephone on 0844 871 7651, or online via the theatre’s website.
 
The recording starts at 7.30pm and will be finished around 10.30pm. Tickets will be limited to a strict maximum of 4 per applicant, by whatever booking system. Demand for tickets is very great, so you are advised to purchase early to avoid disappointment; you should also allow for queue waiting times for the Box Office, either by phone or in person, to be longer than usual.
 
 
The 72th series will begin transmission on Radio 4 from Monday 11th November at 18:30.
